Woodland, Calif. - The three-time All-American goalkeeper for the top-ranked Cardinal, senior Jackie Frank (Long Beach, CA/Los Alamitos), was named the MPSF Mikasa Player of the Week after the Cardinal posted two wins over top-ten teams this weekend, Commissioner Al Beaird announced today.

Frank's presence in the goal limited No. 3 UCLA to only three goals and held No. 10 UC Santa Barbara to two scores as Stanford won its first two conference matches of the 2003 season. Frank collected 14 saves against the Bruins as Stanford posted the 5-3 victory on Friday and recorded a nine-save game as the Cardinal notched an 8-2 win over the Gauchos on Saturday.

Frank will be in action this weekend as the Cardinal head south for the UCSB Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, March 8th and 9th.
